Eugene "Dusty" Golobay, 78, of the Glade community, passed away on Tuesday, November 18, 2025. Born on March 14, 1947, Dusty was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He proudly served as a Vietnam Veteran and dedicated over 20 years to law enforcement. Dusty was also a Baptist Minister, sharing his faith and commitment to his community.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Theordore "Ted" Golobay and Mary Hickman, and two adopted granddaughters, Dusti and Danielle Boliver.

Dusty is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Leretha "Lea" Holifield Golobay; his sons, Teddy (Renee) Golobay and Paul (Angela) Golobay; his adopted daughter, Debbie Roney; and his grandchildren, Halle and Logan Golobay, Jase (Taylor) Golobay, Jacob and Landon Golobay, and Chase "CJ" Stringer Jr. He is also survived by his siblings, Kathy Golobay and Kenneth (Tina) Ford.

A Memorial service will be held at a later date.
