Elvena Benoit, 92 of Ellisville, Passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at her home in Ellisville, MS. She was born on October 31, 1933, in Sulfur, Louisiana.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 23, 2026, at Ellisville Funeral Home at 10:00 am with Burial to follow at Benoit Family Cemetery in Ellisville, MS.  Father Mark Ropel will officiate.

MawMaw Benoit was a vibrant woman with the softest hands (and strongest opinions), whose home was never empty; the door was always open.  She fed everyone year-round and her table was always a gathering place.  Every thing she did was with an open door, a full kitchen and a heart that never seemed to run out of room.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arsene Benoit, her parents, Eucharist and Leazy Courville and her great grandchildren, Gabriel Cash Benoit and Rory Benoit.

She is survived by her four sons: Arsene Benoit Jr (Linda), John Benoit (Pat), Robert Benoit (Sandy), & Tim Benoit (Cheri), and three daughters: Paulette Cobb, Marsha Benoit, & Angela Benoit Elkins;

15 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, as well as numerous friends over the years that became family.

Pallbearers will be her family and friends.
