Elizabeth Harrison, 96 of Ellisville, MS passed away Sunday, February 25, 2024, one month after her 96th birthday at Jones County Rest Home in Ellisville, MS. She was born Wednesday, January 25, 1928, in Laurel, Mississippi.
According to her wishes the service will be graveside only at Salem Church in Wayne County MS beside her husband JL 'Buddy' Harrison.
Services will be held on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at 11:00AM. Bro. Dave Moran will officiate. Ellisville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. 601-477-3797.
She loved Jesus and her family dearly and loved serving both. She is known for her beautiful quilting, crocheting, gardening, but most of all cooking and hosting family gatherings. She was always humble, generous and was happy with less than she deserved. Her love ran deep no matter what. She will be dearly missed by those on Earth who truly loved her but now she is joyfully walking in Heaven.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J. L. `Buddy` Harrison; father, Leroy Walters; mother, Susie Francis Griffin Walters; an infant sibling; brothers, Buddy Walters and Charlie Walters; sisters, Eva Stewart, Ora Lee Langston, Margaret Blackmon; brothers-in-law, Thomas Stewart, Cecil Hodge, Leo Langston, Gene Blackmon, Billy Joe Waller.
Survivors include her daughters, Jamie Shows (John), Mary Everett (William) and Sarah Nolen (Mike); grandchildren, Jennifer Prince (Chris), Chris Shows (Trish), Eric Shows (Chrissy), Brandon Walters (Elizabeth), Tyler Everett, Jessica Johnson and KD Strickland; 11 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; sisters, Linda McCraw, Joyce Myrick and Jackie Waller; brothers-in-law, Randle McCraw and Douglas Myrick; sisters-in-law, Sybil Reed and Ann Walters; a host of nieces and nephews and her friend for over 50 years, Mrs. Zettie James.
Pallbearers will be Chris Shows, Eric Shows, Brandon Walters, Tyler Everett, Mike Nolen, and Darrell Strickland.
