Elizabeth Annette
"Forshee" Riley
June 26, 1946 – March 23, 2025
Elizabeth Annette Forshee Riley, 78 of Ellisville, MS passed away Sunday, March 23, 2025, at South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel, MS. She was born Wednesday, June 26, 1946, in San Francisco, California.
A celebration of Life will be held on the tentative date of Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 12:00PM at Miracle City Global in Hattiesburg, MS. Ellisville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. 601-477-3797.
Everyone knew her as "Annette". She was a loving and committed Mother always full of laughter and looked for any opportunity to do for her family and friends. Annette loved her children and cherished time with them and her grandchildren. She was affectionately known as "Nonnie" to her grandchildren and "Aunt Pete" to her nieces and nephews. She loved doing crafts like making jewelry and crocheting and loved playing games like Dominos and cards. She was quick to laugh and wanted to make those around her laugh as well. Annette worked her entire life in various positions, but was especially proud of having worked her way up from Secretary to Type Setter for the local newspaper, Impact. She worked hard and without extra pay to learn the skill so that she could become an invaluable asset to the company and increase her potential for her family. Annette began her working career in that same state of mind when she put herself through secretarial school while also holding down a full time job and taking care of three small children. She had ambitions and wanted more for her family so she always worked hard to get everything she had. Annette spent her golden years in the home she bought and paid for herself. She was so proud and grateful the day she made her last payment! What a huge accomplishment! She loved spending time with her neighbors who often would come sit on her front porch with her and enjoy a nice conversation and of course, a cold Coke! Annette loved her Lord and loved learning about Him. She knew Him and walked with Him and today she is at peace in His precious arms.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Lisa A. Riley Whatley; father, Richard Forshee; mother, Elizabeth Luckett Forshee; brother, Richard Forshee.
Survivors include her son, Richard P. Riley; daughters, Rhonda P. Riley and Stayce J. Watson; grandchildren, Danielle Kelly, Dakota Cobb, Kayla Little, Sally Sanders, Macks Rangel, Samantha Busby, Richard Brannon Riley, Dalton Riley and Lucy Watson; brother, Milton Forshee; sister, Dora Thornton; great grandchildren, Rylie Cobb, Della Kelly and Dawson Sanders; and a host of nieces and nephews.

"Weep Not For Me"
Weep not for me though I have gone Into that gentle night Grieve if you will, but not for long Upon my soul's sweet flight I am at peace, my soul's at rest There is no need for tears For with your love I was so blessed For all those many years There is no pain, I suffer not The fear is now all gone Put now these things out of your thoughts In your memory I live on Remember not my fight for breath Remember not the strife Please do not dwell upon my death But celebrate my life
