Dorothy Kay Davis, 67, of Laurel passed away Saturday, November 25, 2023 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, MS with her family by her side. She was born to Horace Edward Phillips and Dorothy Jewel Stringer Phillips on Thursday, October 9, 1956 in Laurel, MS.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2023 from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Ellisville Funeral Home in 1204 B Ave, Ellisville, Mississippi. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Ellisville Funeral Home in Ellisville, Mississippi. Burial will follow in Davis Cemetery in Leakesville, MS. She was preceded in death by her father, Horace Edward Phillips and her mother, Dorothy Jewel Stringer Phillips; sister, Barbara Ainsworth; and her late husband, Orval Glen Davis.

She is survived by her daughter, Kayla Ann Davis (Mitchell Thornhill); Emma Peacock (Brian Floyd), grandson, James Lee Thornhill; two sisters, Dianne Golden, Helen O'Neal; two brothers, Tommy Phillips (Carla), Dago Phillips; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was a homemaker all of her life. She loved everyone.

Pallbearers will be Ricky Allen, Donovan Peacock II, William Ainsworth, Charles "Charlie" Cromwell, and Paul "Scooter" Thornhill.
