Doris Evelyn Walters, 93, of Seminary, MS passed away Thursday, June 1, 2023 at the Willis-Knighton Health System in Shreveport, LA. She was born Tuesday, July 16, 1929 in Lake Providence, Louisiana.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 4, 2023 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Ellisville Funeral Home on 1204 Ave. B, Ellisville, Mississippi. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 5, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Ellisville Funeral Home. The burial will take place in County Line Baptist Church Cemetery in Ellisville, MS. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Lavoy Walters; parents, Archie and Ada Riley Ellerbe; brothers, A.C. Ellerbe, Bill Ellerbe, Bud Ellerbe and Leon Ellerbe; sisters, Mildred Bell, Ruby Pardon, Louise Pitts; great granddaughters, Amber Fisher and Britni Walters.

Survivors include her sons, Buford Walters (Shirley ), Marvin  Walters (Betty Sue );  daughter, Helen  Travis (Jimbo);  sister, Myrtle Phillips;  sister-in-law, JoAnn Ellerbe, grandsons, Jefferson Walters (Amanda), Chad Walters, Jason Walters (Amanda), David Travis (Mary) and Sean Watts (Brittney);  granddaughters, Evelyn Ellzey (Jimmy), Jennifer Yates, Linda Gail Carruth, Misty Byrd (Doug), Tabitha Smith (Billy Joe), Samantha Travis, Corinne Weaver, and Nancy Lebrija (Charles); 19 Great Grandchildren as well as a host of Great Great Grandchildren.
