Doris D. Busby, 90, of Ellisville, MS, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at Magnolia Gardens in Ellisville, MS. Born on October 24, 1934, in Laurel, Mississippi, Doris lived a life full of love and dedication to her family.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Ray Busby, her father William Earl Brady, her mother Lucy Jane Lofton Brady, her brother Aurther Brady, her sister Bobby Steverson, her father-in-law Preston Willam Busby, her mother-in-law Dorothy Steverson Busby, and her son-in-law Mickey Walker.

Doris is survived by her sons, Stephen Ray Busby and his wife Leona, and Allen Clay Busby and his wife Sheila; her daughters, Karen Busby Purvis and her husband Tim, Debra Busby Hinton and her husband Steven, and Dedra Busby Walker. She also leaves behind 14- grandchildren, 19- great-grandchildren, and 1- great-great-grandchild, all of whom brought immense joy to her life.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 23, 2025, from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Ellisville Funeral Home, located at 1204 B Ave, Ellisville, Mississippi. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM at the same location, with Bro. Josh West officiating. Doris will be laid to rest at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery in Ellisville, Mississippi. Arrangements are being handled by Ellisville Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will include Adam Purvis, William Busby, Clay Busby, Preston Busby, Benjamin Hinton, Bradley Hinton, Cameron Walker, and Connor Walker.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jordan Walker and Stephen Ray Busby.
