Donnis Gay Stewart, 87, of Ellisville, MS, passed away Sunday, March 10, 2024, at her residence. She was born, along with her twin brother, Don Pitts, on Tuesday, December 29, 1936, in Ovett, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM at Pecan Grove Baptist Church in Ellisville, MS. Funeral services will follow at 10:00AM. The burial will then take place in Walters Cemetery. Rev. John Cockrell will officiate. Ellisville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. 601-477-3797.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, LD Stewart; son, Bobby Stewart; parents, Marion and Celia Pitts.

Survivors include: son, Lance D.  Stewart (Melissa); daughter, Sheree Buckhaults (Keith); grandchildren: Randall Buckhaults (Jessica); Jennifer Scrimpshire (Jason); DeAnn Bond (Mickey); Amanda Ingram (Barrett) and Lauren Stewart; as well as 10 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Russell Hamm, Randall Buckhaults, Gordon Pitts, Chris Pitts, Junior Everett, and Jason Scrimpshire.

Honorary pallbearers will be Douglas Ulmer, Bryan Ulmer, and Dion Sumrall.
