Obituary

Donald Ray Perry, 75, of Ellisville, MS, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 13, 2026, at his residence surrounded by family, Born on November 27, 1950, in Laurel, MS.

Donald Ray spent many years proudly serving as a Marine, the places he traveled and the adventures he found along the way. He had great love of hunting, he had great appreciation for some good food, and the many meals he prepared for the people he loved. He had countless stories, some that have been told many times, and undoubtedly many more that will continue to be discovered and shared for years to come.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents; Kerney Ray and Maudie Lucile Perry, first wife; Betty Jean Perry, daughter; Denise Perry.

Donald is survived by his loving family, including his wife of 16 years, Dianne Perry; daughter, Vanessa (Thomas) Sturgeon of Maynardville, TN; sons, Cain Callister, Lee (Shannon) Scarbrough of Ellisville, MS; grandchildren, Danielle Smith, Abbie Brock, Cloe Cain, Isabella Sturgeon all of Maynardville, TN, Maci Vanderford, Rylee and Chole Scarbrough all of Ellisville, MS, Casey, Josh, Connor, Jackson and Emma; a host of Great Grandchildren; sisters, Wanda Peacock and Deborah Elizabeth Perry.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at Tiger Creek Baptist Church, located at 694 County Road 243 Ovett, Mississippi, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM at the same location, with burial to follow at Tiger Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Ellisville Funeral Home.
