Donald "Don" Henry Winship, 80, of Ellisville, MS, passed away peacefully at his residence on Tuesday, December 24, 2024. Born on October 5, 1944, in Owatonna, Minnesota, Don was a cherished member of his community and family.

Don was a dedicated member of the Methodist Men, serving as secretary and treasurer for over 30 years. He was also actively involved with the Laurel JC's, where he held several offices. A passionate supporter of the West Jones Soccer team, Don enjoyed watching both the boys and girls play. He also loved fishing and hunting, and took great joy in watching his grandchildren, Carly Jo and Cassie, play soccer.

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Patricia Ann Rogers Winship; his son, Craig T. Winship and wife Jodie; his grandchildren, Carly Winship and partner Morganne, and Cassie Winship and partner Wade McDougal; and his twin sister, Doris Landis.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, Dean and Neva Mason Winship; his brothers, Gerry and Richard Winship; and his sisters, Beverly Dirkson, Phylis Kellen, and Connie Sanders.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 27, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Ellisville Methodist Church in Ellisville, MS, with Bro. Mark Anderson officiating. Visitation will take place prior to the service from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. Burial will follow at Hickory Grove Cemetery in Laurel, Mississippi. Arrangements are being handled by Ellisville Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will include Patrick Gill, Robb Blackwell, Wade McDougal, Leonard Kelley and United Methodist Men at Ellisville First Methodist Church with honorary pallbearers Clarence Putnam and Timmy Rogers.

Don will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
