Donald Clayton, 86, of Ellisville, MS passed away Thursday, April 21, 2022 at his residence in Ellisville, MS. He was born Sunday, January 26, 1936 in Sumrall, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 25, 2022 from 10:00 until 11:00 at Friendship Baptist Church on 2296 Hwy 29 South, Ellisville, MS. Graveside services will follow at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Johnny Bryant will officiate. Ellisville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. 601-477-3797

Don was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and outdoor cooking. He was also a faithful member of Friendship Baptist Church. Don loved his family and greatly treasured his wife Stella. Don proudly served his country in the United States Airforce. He was a Mason and a Shriner. Don was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Edgar Clayton; mother, Doris Watts Clayton; and his sister, Joann Murla.

Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Stella Clayton;  sons, Ronnie Clayton (Angela), Mike Clayton (Pam) and Jon Steele;  daughters, Donna Proveterd (Rudolph), Lisa Taylor and Tina Marie Touchstone;  brother, Nelson Clayton (Alice);  grandsons, Jason Clayton (Rebekah) and Zane Clayton;  granddaughters, Jennifer Clayton (Justin Bailey), Kelsie Clayton, Savannah Clayton, Dalaney Clayton, Amanda Steele, Caroline Steele, Emily Steele and Melanie Loper;  great grandchildren, Jayce Bailey, Harrison Clayton, Grant Clayton and Lexus Loper; brother-in-laws, George Murla and Jack Busby as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Ray Smith, Vernon McLemore, Wayne McLemore, Jason Clayton, Justin Bailey and Richard Scott.
