Diane Dew Long went to her heavenly home on September 25, 2023. Diane was born on March 8, 1948 in Laurel and was raised in the Tuckers Crossing community. In her later years, her family moved to Sharon where she lived for 30 years before moving to Shady Grove.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Ronald D. Long, her parents, Charles Dew and Bennie Robinson Dew, brother, Jerome Dew and son-in-law, Roger Smith.

She has 2 daughters, Deana (Williams) Smith (Roger) and Rhonda Long, 2 grandchildren, Cory Smith (Katey) and Zachary Smith and one great grandson, Kolston.

Diane was a member of First Baptist Church of Sharon and also attended Connect Church in Laurel. She loved people and loved having fun. She definitely had a flair for decorating and dressing up on special occasions. In her younger years she loved roller skating and was named the first skating queen of Robinson Skating Rink in the 60's. She also loved cooking, baking and showing miniature horses. Her fun loving personality will forever be missed by her daughters, friends and family.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Antioch United Methodist Church Cemetery located on Lower Myrick Road in Laurel where she will be laid to rest beside her husband and parents. Bro. Kenneth Smith & Scott Stringer will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Cory Smith, Zachary Smith, Randy Robinson, Clifford Rhodes, Bert Tucker and Danny Smith. Colonial Chapel of Ellisville is in charge of arrangements.  601-477-3797
