Dave was born Thursday, Aug. 14, 1947, in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He passed from this life, Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at the Asbury Hospice House In Hattiesburg, Ms. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth H. Senholtz and Helen M. Robbins Senholtz Newton, and also his grandparents and many aunts and uncles. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Helen Marie Graham Senholtz; daughters, Jennifer M. Burril (Casey), Patricia L. Gooden, Becky J. Baker (Robert) and Bobbie J. Mooney (Mike); nine grandchildren; one great grandchild; sister, Marilyn Meyers (Mike); a host of nieces and nephews.
Dave graduated high school Otsego (Michigan) High School class of 1965. He attended Western Michigan University before enlisting in the U.S. Navy Seabees in 1966. He served two tours of duty in Vietnam with NMCB 128 as a heavy duty diesel mechanic. His unit served in Da Nang, then Quan Tri and he was honorably discharged in 1969. He is a 1979 graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and uncle. In return, he was much loved and adored.
The family enjoyed many weekends spent at Flint Creek Water Park water skiing and picnicking. He also enjoyed playing golf and fishing with his buddies.
Although he underwent dialysis 3 times weekly at Richton Dialysis Center he enjoyed going into town and eating lunch at Half Shell Oyster House in Hattiesburg then stopping at Java Mo's for a mango smoothie.
In later years, he developed multiple health problems, many associated with agent orange, to which he was exposed during his service in Vietnam. He fought a brave battle against these illnesses for many years.
