Danny Earl Madison, 77, of Ellisville, MS, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 17, 2026, at the Mississippi VA Home of Collins in Collins, MS. He was born on February 4,1949, in Laurel, Mississippi.

Danny was known as “Shorty” served in the Vietnam War in the 101 Airborne with the U.S Army. He was a recipient of the Bronze Star.

He was a member of First Baptist Church of Ellisville.

Danny retired after 20 years from the Laurel Fire Dept. as Battalion Chief. He was a lifetime member of Magnolia Cruisers car club. He loved antique cars and cruising the Coast.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Denward and Kayte Sasser, brothers, Sammy Sasser and Layne Sasser.

He is survived by his loving family, including his wife of 29 years, Charlotte Bolivar Madison, son, Stephen Bolivar (Susan), grandchildren, Carter Campbell, Katie Campbell, and a host of nieces and nephew

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at First Baptist Church of Ellisville in Ellisville, Mississippi, from 9:30 AM to 10:30 PM. Memorial services will follow on Saturday August 22, 2026, at 10:30AM at the same location, August 22, 2026,

Dr. Greg Spencer and Rev. Robert Fennell will officiate.

In lieu of flowers the family has asked for donations be made to St. Jude Research Children’s Hospital.

Arrangements are under the care of Ellisville Funeral Home.
