Daniel Allen Pitts, 84, of Ellisville, MS passed away Sunday, January 7, 2024 in Ellisville, Mississippi. He was born Tuesday, September 12, 1939 in Laurel, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2024 from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Ellisville Funeral Home on 1204 B Ave, Ellisville, Mississippi. Funeral services will follow at 11:00. The Burial will then take place at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Laurel, Mississippi. Ellisville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. 601-477-3797

Mr. Pitts was a loving father and uncle who worked for many years with the family-owned oil field business, Pitts Swabbing. He enjoyed working, hunting, and fishing. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Vester and Mary Parrish Pitts; brother, Richard Pitts; sister-in-law's, Ruby Tucker Pitts and Gail Russell Pitts.

Survivors include his son, Jeff Pitts (Kimber); brothers, Billy Joe Pitts and Mike Pitts; sister, Dorothy Dunagin.

Pallbearers will be Billy Joe Pitts III, Mark Pitts Jr., Travis Roney, Brandon Boyanton, Blake Pitts, and Zachary Harrison.

Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Joe Pitts and Mike Pitts.

In lieu of flowers, the family humbly requests that memorial contributions be made to Southern Pines Animal Shelter in Hattiesburg, MS.
