Clara Jean Lee Thornhill

Clara Jean Lee Thornhill, age 66, of the Myrick community, passed away on October 27, 2026, at her residence.

Clara was raised in the Myrick community at Lee’s Processing Plant. She worked at Phillip’s Drive-In for 31 years. She also had a love for taking care of the elderly and was employed at Crazy K’s in Laurel.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Norman and Lillian Lee; her daughter, Heather L. Knight; and her two grandchildren, Shelby Clifford and Isaiah Thornhill.

She is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Dennis Thornhill; her children, Michael Thornhill (Nita), Amanda Atkinson (Ronald), Amber Cobb (Charles), God children; Gracie Ferguson (Bryson) and Michael Lambert; her siblings, Sherry Parker (Sidney), Randy Lee (Kathy), Greg Lee (Paula), and Amy McMullain (Carl); and her work son, Carson Kelley. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Hunter Knight, Katie Tidmore, Alyssa Nixon, Jackson Thornhill, Madison Thornhill, and Lucy Thornhill.

A memorial service will be held at Antioch United Pentecostal Church, 89 Antioch Drive, Laurel, MS, 39443, on November 7 at 5:00 p.m.
