Charles Earl Prince, 83, of Ellisville, MS, passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2024, in Laurel, MS. He was born Monday, August 26, 1940, in Hebron, Mississippi.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Ellisville Funeral Home on 1204 B. Ave, Ellisville, Mississippi. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 1, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Ellisville Funeral Home, and the burial will follow in Ellisville City Cemetery. Bro. Greg Spencer will officiate. Charles loved team sports. He was involved in coaching and umpiring youth sporting events. Charles loved the Lord, his friends, his family, and his church family. He served as a deacon at First Baptist Ellisville in his younger years. He and his late wife, Helen, loved traveling to the Smokey Mountains several times each year. After her death in 2001, he continued the tradition by traveling with his grandchildren. He was present and very involved in the lives of his grandchildren. Charles was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 34 years, Helen Hollis Prince; parents, Bob and Lorine Prince.
Survivors include his sons, Mike Prince (Gena) of Seminary, MS, Robby Prince (Laura) of Ellisville, MS and Chris Prince (Jennifer) of Ellisville, MS; Grandsons, River Prince (Jessie) and Walton Luckie (Kimberly); Granddaughters, Kayla Chancellor, Timber Prince Robison (John), Amanda Prince, Krystle Lambert (Mikey), Missy Harper (Austin), Hannah Duffy (Kyle), and Emma Kate Prince; Great Grandsons, Carter Chancellor, Rider Prince, Hunter Lambert, Cole Lambert, Houston Harper, Rustin Harper, Everett Duffy, and Dylon Dudley; Great Granddaughters, Charley Kate Chancellor, Rocky Prince, Mary Bankston Duffy, Emory Dudley, and Piper Luckie.
Pallbearers will be River Prince, John Robison, Mikey Lambert, Hunter Lambert, Cole Lambert, and Chris Bush.
