Charles Daniel "Dannyboy" Rustin, 66, of Laurel, MS, passed away on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at his residence. Born on March 1, 1958, in Laurel, Mississippi, Dannyboy was a beloved husband, brother, uncle, cousin, friend, and co-worker. He will be remembered for his love of horses, mules, the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and his good sense of humor and friendship.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Adron "Tater" Rustin; mother, Dorothy Faye "Dot" Byrd Rustin; brother, Dennis Randall Rustin; and brother-in-law, David Mattos, Sr.

He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Teresa Hannah Rustin; sister, Annie Ruth Mattos; nieces, Karen Langley (Mike), Tracy Ulmer, and Angela Strickland; nephew, David Mattos, Jr.; great niece, Dory Buchanan (Tyler); great nephews, Casey Ulmer (Sabrina), Zach Strickland, Gabe Langley, Charlee Strickland (Hannah), and Justin Ulmer (Abby); great-great niece, Breleigh Langley; brothers-in-law, Tommy Hannah, Ronnie Hannah; sisters-in-law, Donna Colvin, Wanda Stroud, Elizabeth Sorey, Billie Henry, and Connie Herrington; special friend, J.B. Sykes (Maelynn); and a host of cousins, family, and good friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2025, from 5:00PM until 7:00PM at Ellisville Funeral Home, located at 1204 B Ave, Ellisville, Mississippi. A Memorial service will be held on January 5th, 2025, at 2:00PM at Oakland Grove Baptist Church, 2475 Pleasant Grove Rd, Laurel, MS 39443. Ellisville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
