Carl Clinton Craven, Sr., 86, of Ellisville, MS, passed away peacefully at his residence on Sunday, July 20, 2025. Born on August 19, 1938, in Canton, Mississippi, Carl lived a full life surrounded by family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Gloria Jean Melton Craven, and his son, Richard Craven, his parents, John David Craven and Beatrice Malone Craven, as well as his brothers, Charles, Teddy, David, and Bill Craven, and his sister, Joyce Reynolds.

Carl is survived by his son, Carl Craven, Jr., and his daughter, Charlotte Ezell, along with her husband David. He leaves behind cherished memories with his grandchildren: Latasha Kilpatrick and her husband Brad, Chad Mann, Carrie Robinson and her husband Chris, Clinton Craven, Anna Cooley and her husband Jimmy, and Nicholas Craven. Carl was also blessed with 6 great-great-grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. His sisters, Helen James, Eva Hammond, and Trina Cook, along with a host of nieces and nephews, also survive him.
