Calley (Leon) Lee Davenport Jr., 73, of Moselle, Mississippi, died Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at his residence in Moselle, Mississippi. He was born Saturday, September 29, 1945 in Laurel, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 1, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Ellisville Funeral Home in Ellisville, Mississippi. Graveside services will be held Friday, November 2, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery and the Burial will follow in Providence Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Leon worked with Illinois Central and Canadian National Railway for 36 years. He was a member of the Army National Guard for 30 years.

He was preceded in death by Calley Davenport Sr. (Father), Verna Mae Davenport (Mother), Jessie Mae Blackwell (Sister), Thomas R. Vanderslice (Brother), Austin Vanderslice (Brother).

Survivors include Ruby C. Davenport (Wife), Brad Davenport (Son), Kalla Davenport Cooley (Clay) (Daughter), 5 Grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, Pearlean Smith (Sister), Elma Ruth Brady (Sister).

Pallbearers will be Henry Nobles, Gary West, Mike King, Billy Ray Blackwell Jr., Ken Smith and Donald Williamson.
