Brenda K. English, 67 of Laurel, MS passed away Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at the University Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi. She was born Tuesday, June 4, 1957, in Laurel, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2024, from 9:00AM until 10:00AM at Big Creek Baptist Church in Soso, MS. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at 10:00AM at Big Creek Baptist Church in Soso, MS. Burial will follow in Big Creek Cemetery in Soso, Mississippi. Bro. Adam Sloan and Bro. Brenda was a loving wife, mother and grandmother (Mimi). She loved her family and having them gathered in her home. She was known by her family for having the most extravagant Christmas; and if someone extra was there, she made sure they received gifts also. Being outdoors and fishing was something she enjoyed with her beloved husband Craig. She loved making memories by traveling with family and friends. She had a big heart for helping people and felt the need to help others. She enjoyed being involved with make a wish foundation and crocheting hats for the children at St. Jude Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jake Carlis Dykes; mother, Marie Jefcoat Dykes.

Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Craig English; son, Chris English; daughter, Brandy Morris (Justin); grandchildren, Tristen English (Desirae), Dalton English (Krissy), Breanna Morris and Jake Morris; great grandchild, Layna English; brothers, Harry Dykes (Janice) and Randal Dykes (Ruth); fur baby, Jasper English.

Pallbearers will be Lee Parks, Scott Dearman, Ramey Reeves, Chris Williams, Tristen English, and Dalton English.

Honorary pallbearers will be Timmy "Julio" Sanchez and Charlie Murphy.
