Bonnie Jean Wilson, 90, of Ovett, MS, passed away on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at Guardian Angels in Ellisville, MS. Born on February 22, 1935, in Jones County, Mississippi, Bonnie lived a full and vibrant life.

Bonnie loved hunting, fishing, and gardening. She spent several years in Antioch, CA, before returning to Mississippi, where she worked at ETV in Jackson. Later, she moved back to Jones County and worked for the MS Employment Service before joining the Office of the US Forestry Service in Laurel, where she worked until her retirement at the age of 80.

Bonnie was a charter member of the Bible Baptist Church and was known for her dedication and service to her community.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Allen Merle Wilson and David B. Auston; her father, B.W. 'Barney' Sumrall; her mother, Mildred P. Herrington Sumrall; her brother, Jack L. Sumrall; and her sisters, Shirley Gray (Russell), Ilene Blackburn (Cary), Dixie Broadway (Eugene), and Mildred Jo Williford (Jerry).

Bonnie is survived by a host of nieces and nephews who will cherish her memory.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 4, 2025, from 12:30 PM until 2:00 PM at Ellisville Funeral Home, located at 1204 B Ave, Ellisville, Mississippi. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM at the same location, with burial at Good Hope Baptist Church Cemetery in Ovett, MS. Bro. Howard Morgan will officiate the services.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Smith, Cane Smith, Johnathan Smith, Dustin Broadway, Mack Waldrup, and Jay Shoemake, with James Gray serving as an honorary pallbearer.
