Bobby J. Kitchens Sr., 88, of Ellisville, Mississippi, passed away Tuesday June 8, 2021, at Mississippi State Veterans Home in Collins, Mississippi. He was born Thursday, May 11, 1933, in Laurel, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 12, 2021 from 9:30 AM until 11:30 AM at Ellisville Funeral Home in Ellisville, Mississippi. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, June 12, 2021 at 11:30 AM at Ellisville Funeral Home with burial to follow in New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Harold Rowzee, Bro. Thomas Cheeks, and Bro T.J. Stroo will officiate. Ellisville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. (601) 477-3797.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Washington Ivring and Rea Kitchens; sisters, Jessie Ray Townsend, Maggie Rea Glover, and Faye Richards; brothers, James Walton Kitchens, and Donald Kitchens.

Survivors include wife of 67 years, Maurine Kitchens; daughter, Cindy Kitchens; son, Joey Kitchens (Jo Anne); grandchildren, Ashley Conner (Will), Randy Kitchens, Katie Huffman (Marcus), and Damon Berthold; great grandchildren, Harper Conner, Tatum Conner, Chloe Huffman, Madison Huffman, and Kinsley Huffman.

Pallbearers will be Randy Elzey, Pernell Smith, Jason Davis, Tony Davis, Mike Robertson, and Walter Roberts.

Honorary pallbearers will be Eddie Robertson, Janson Overland, John Glover, and Conrad Flowers.
