Betty Wade, 92, of Ellisville, Mississippi, died Thursday, August 12, 2021 at her residence in Ellisville, Mississippi. She was born Wednesday, March 20, 1929 in Ellisville, Mississippi.

Betty lived a full life. In 1943, at only 14 years old, she rode a bus to Reliance to help pack parachutes for the paratroopers in World War II. Betty also loved gardening. Whether planting flowers are growing vegetables, she always had a green thumb. Betty greatly enjoyed spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, James Wade, her parents, Henry and Shelly Smith as well as her siblings, George Henry, Ollie Dean, Pete, Leo and Francis.

Survivors include her son, Carroll Wade (Andria), her daughter, Debbie Bishop (Ronnie), granddaughters, Amy Duke (Kie), Kourtney Wade, Allison Butler (Rob), her grandsons, Reuben Bishop, Jeremy Wade (Lauren), her great-granddaughters, Lily Duke, Larkin Duke, Emmalyn Wade, her great-grandsons, Devin Odom, Cain Merrell, Blayne James, Raiden Bishop, Drew Wade, her sister, Ruth Holtz, her brother, Buddy Smith as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
