Betty Jane Ruffin, 91 of Laurel, MS passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at her residence in Laurel, MS formerly of Auburn, Al. She was born Sunday, February 28, 1932, in Laurel, Mississippi.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at 11:00AM at Providence Baptist Church in Stringer, MS. Ellisville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. 601-477-3797.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Burlson Gwenette Ruffin; son, Bill Ruffin; father, Mark Therrell; mother, Bessie Meek Therrell; brother, Lamar Plummer; sister, Mary Bishop.

Survivors include her daughter, Susan Freeman; grandchildren, Will Ruffin (Ashton), David Ruffin (Sarah), Ben Ruffin (Kaitlyn) and Russell Freeman (Michelle); sister, Margaret Boteler; great grandchildren, Levi Ruffin, Faith Ruffin, Ava Ruffin, Prather Ruffin, Clyde Ruffin, Rustin Freeman and Katye Freeman.
