Betty L. Stringer Montgomery, 86, of Laurel, MS, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at her residence. Born on September 23, 1938, in Jasper County, Mississippi, Betty lived a life full of love and dedication to her family.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Billie Ray Stringer, and her second husband, James H. Montgomery. She was also predeceased by her father, Lamar Richard Jordan, her mother, Myrtle Jordan Miller Cooley, her brothers, Richard Lamar Jordan and James Jordan, and her sisters, Nell Graham, Bonnie Riser, and Katy Boykin.

Betty is survived by her brother, Tommy Jordan and his wife Joanie, her sisters, Margie Holifield and Janie Jordan, and her faithful sisters-in-law, Celyn Jordan and Linda Montgomery. She also leaves behind a host of beloved nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2025, from 9:30 AM until 11:00 AM at Ellisville Funeral Home, located at 1204 B Ave, Ellisville, Mississippi. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM at the same location, with Bro. Mike Parker and Bro. David Fedele officiating. A private burial will take place in Providence Cemetery in Stringer, Mississippi. Arrangements are under the care of Ellisville Funeral Home.
