Betty Ruth Broadway, 84, of Ovett, MS, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at the Jones County Rest Home in Ellisville, MS. Born on September 9, 1940, in Smith County, Mississippi, Betty lived a life full of love and dedication to her family.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thomas Rayford Broadway, her daughter Barbara Beech, her parents John Willis Blackwell and Vinnie Vermell Holifield Blackwell, her brothers Billy Ray Blackwell and John Blackwell, and her sister Patricia Bunch.

Betty is survived by her sons, Danny Broadway and his wife Glenda, and David Broadway; her daughters, Betty Cole and her husband Robert Jr., and Rhonda Williamson and her husband Kevin. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Kristy Mitchum and her husband Michael, Melanie Hall and her husband Chris, Harold Beech Jr. and his wife April, Jason Beech and his wife Christy, Katelyn Williamson, and Brooklyn Broadway, as well as her great-grandchildren Zane Statum, Presleigh Hall, Rayland Hall, Mattie Beech, and Sadie Beech. Her brother Bud Blackwell also survives her.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Broadway Cemetery in Ovett, MS, with burial to follow. Bro. Kevin Williamson will officiate the service. Arrangements are being handled by Ellisville Funeral Home.

Betty will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and the love she shared with her family and friends. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
