Barbara Boykin, 88 of Ellisville, MS passed away Monday, December 25, 2023, at her home in Ellisville, MS. She was born Wednesday, February 27, 1935, in Laurel, Mississippi.

Barbara was a prayer warrior and had a deep love for the Lord; the Word of Christ dwelt in her richly. She had a strong love and devotion for her family, and was known to all of her love and kindness.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2023, from 11:00AM until 12:00PM at Ellisville Funeral Home in 1204 B Ave, Ellisville, Mississippi.  The celebration of her life and home going will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2023, at 12:00PM at Ellisville Funeral Home in Ellisville, Mississippi. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Methodist Church Cemetery in Ellisville; MS. Ann Turner will officiate. Ellisville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. 601-477-3797.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Fletcher Boykin; father, David Edmonds; mother, Roselle Garrison Edmonds.

Survivors include her son, John Michael Boykin; daughters, Yvonne Boykin and Lyn Gibson; grandchildren, Jody Gibson and Joel Gibson; brother, David Carson Edmonds; sister, Jane Barnard; and 3 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Andy Turner, Mike Turner, Danny Ray Robertson, Roland Graves, Harris Tapp, and Darrell Hutto.
