Barbara Jean Phillips Ainsworth, 71 of Laurel passed Sunday, January 30, 2022 at Wesley Merit Health in Hattiesburg, MS with her family by her side. She was born to Horace Edward Phillips and Dorothy Jewel Stringer Phillips on Thursday March 9, 1950 in Laurel, MS.

Visitation will be held on Friday February 4, 2022 from 9 - 11:00 AM at Ellisville Funeral Home with the service to follow in the Chapel at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in Union Line Cemetery. Reverend Robby Johnson will officiate.

Ellisville Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangement.

She was preceded in death by her father Horace Edward Phillips and her mother Dorothy Jewel Stringer Phillips and her late husband Jerald Ainsworth.

She was a retired business owner of 25 years and she was a homemaker. She loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed coffee, shopping, her fur babies and gambling. She was a breast cancer survivor and a triple heart bypass surgery survivor.

She is survived by her life partner of 25 years Glen Bell, her daughter Emma Peacock (Brian Floyd), three sons; Jerald Wayne Ainsworth, Terry Ainsworth and Robert Ainsworth and his wife Theresa. She has thirteen grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, two brothers, three sisters and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons; Ricky Allen, Donovan Peacock II, William Ainsworth, Michael Gipson, Caleb Gipson, and Charles Cromwell.
