Anna Doris Beard, 85 of Ovett, MS passed away to the arms of Jesus, surrounded by her family, Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at her residence in Ovett, MS. She was born Tuesday, May 9, 1939, in Laurel, Mississippi.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2024, from 9:00AM until 11:00AM at Ellisville Funeral Home in 1204 B Ave, Ellisville, Mississippi. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at 11:00AM at Ellisville Funeral Home in Ellisville, Mississippi. Burial will follow in Hickory Hills Cemetery in Ovett, Mississippi. Bro. Eddie Bryant will officiate. Ellisville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. 601-477-3797.
Doris loved cooking for her family and friends, gardening, flowers, bird watching and spending the summer with great-grandson, Brian Hughey of Edmond, Oklahoma. The matriarch of the family, loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and sister-in-law. She made sure every holiday her family and extended family had all they could eat and plenty of family time.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Joseph Beard; parents, Fred D. Parker and Ila Magnus Hicks Parker; grandchild, Sara Lynn Mullett; son, Larry Joe Beard; brother, Clovis Dee Parker; sister, Betty Parker.
Survivors include her daughter, Ronda Beard; son; Steve Beard (Tina); grandchildren, Rachel Wilson of Oklahoma City, Scott Wilson, Sha Beard, Brooke Boudreaux and Kristan Beard; great grandchildren, Brian Hughey, Chloe Wilson, Cannon Wilson and Corbin Wilson; brothers, Trapper Wayne Parker (Linda), Joe Parker; sisters, Deborah Blankenbeckley (James), Freida Cain, Mavis Burks, Ann Overstreet; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and she loved them all.
Pallbearers will be Bo Parker, Ben Parker, Joey Parker, Doyle Hicks, Mark Goff, and Sammy Mozingo.
Kim Goff you were a star in her heart and eyes and we couldn't have made it without you.
