Anita R. Milner, 83, of Laurel, Mississippi, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, May 10, 2021. She was born Thursday, February 24, 1938 in Bruni, Texas. Her life was spent serving the Lord through her musical talents. She began playing the piano in church at the age of 9 and continued serving Christ through music in numerous churches across the country as long as she was able. Her servant heart and love for people was evident through her ability to never meet a stranger, show kindness to everyone, and always take an opportunity to express how great God had been in her life regardless of her circumstances.
Graveside Services will be held Friday, May 14, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Rushton Cemetery with burial to follow. Bro. Phil Smith will officiate.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Aubrey Cannon and Sarah Cannon, her brothers, Aubrey B. Cannon Jr. (Mary Alice) and Robert William Cannon, her sisters, Faye Lois Cannon, Francis Holland (George) and Mary Alice Wieding (Harvey).
Survivors include her son, Rusty Milner (Regina), her daughter, Jenny West (David); her grandchildren, Ryan Milner (Heather), Rush Milner (Leann), DeeLayne Holder (Derek), Travis West (M.J.), Jessica Davis (Patrick); a sister-in-law, June Cannon; a host of nephews and nieces; and her great-grandchildren, Tucker, Cannon, Judson, and Analee Milner; Gracie Mae Walley, Michael Seeger, and Lilee Kae Milner; Dayne, Dawsyn, and Aubrey Holder; Wyatt, Walt, Wrett, and Morgan Kate West; Nic, Maryn, and Jameson Davis.
Pallbearers will be Ryan Milner, Tucker Milner, Rush Milner, Derek Holder, Dayne Holder, and Patrick Davis.
