Alonzo Larry Blakeney, 79 of Soso, MS passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at the South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel, MS. He was born Monday, August 14, 1944, in Magee, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 27, 2024, from 10:00AM until 11:00AM at Ellisville Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 27, 2024, at 11:00AM at Ellisville Funeral Home. He was preceded in death by his parents Vardaman Blakeney and Mollie Bryant Blakeney; his son, Alonzo Larry Blakeney, ll; grandchildren, Jason Blakeney and Logan Reading; great grandchild, Serana McRee; brother, Vardaman Blakeney, JR; sisters, Marie Tharp, Jackie Craft and Charlene Brownlee.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Chaney Blakeney of 55 years; sons, Anthony Blakeney (Michelle), Chris Blakeney; daughter, Mollie Blakeney Polson (Robert); grandchildren, Elizabeth Cochran, Jonathan Folk, Sabrina Parish, Anthony Blakeney, Andrew Blakeney, Drena Polson, Ailey Polson, Robert Polson, JR, Christopher Blakeney, Cambrie McRee, Alonzo McRee (Mary Kate); great grandchildren, Benson Cotton, Lekson Williams, Dawson Parish, Sunny Parish and Blaine Folk. sisters, Wandell Graves, Shirley Rogers.

Pallbearers will be Craig Craft, Charles Graves, Bubba Blakeney, Corey Ashley, Jody Craft, Keith Runnels.
