Alissa Marie Robinson, 43, of Ellisville passed away peacefully in her sleep on April 19, in Baton Rouge, La. Alissa was born on August 2, 1982 in Houma, La.
Alissa was proceeded in death by her father John T. Gooch III; maternal grandparents Bobby Lee Hill and Georgia Louise Hill Gardner and paternal grandparents John T. Gooch Jr. and Dorothy Lewis Clark.
Alissa is survived by her mother Debbie Johnson and stepfather Larry Johnson; fiancé Josh Nichols; daughter Marlee Robinson; son Reid Robinson; Caleb (Mary) Nichols; granddaughter Adeline Nichols; brother Brandon Hill; nephews DeBrendon and Cylis Hill; best friend Butch Manning; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and her beloved dog Beaux.
Alissa excelled in all facets of academics and graduated from Heidelberg Academy in 2000. She graduated from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College in 2004. After graduation from MGCCC she began her professional career in banking.
In 2005 she started her banking career and displayed a work ethic that led to multiple promotions as she continued working in this field until 2020, primarily working for BancorpSouth at the Ellisville branch.
Beginning in August 2020, Alissa began a new career working for Luckett Land Title in Hattiesburg where she continued to excel and exceed expectations due to her desire to always do her job the right way. In early 2025 she opened a new branch for LLT in Laurel where she was employed until her untimely death.
Whether it was cheering on her beloved LSU Tigers, at family gatherings or with many of her closest friends — Alissa was a person who rarely met a stranger. She could carry on a conversation with someone who she had just met for the first time and was well known for and, best described as, the life of the party. Her personality was endearing and no matter where she was she always filled the room with joy.
Alissa was a firm believer in Christ and she had comfort in knowing that when she left her earthly home she would be welcomed into Heaven and be reunited with her Granny and other family and friends who were also there waiting for her.
Alissa was also an avid sports enthusiast. She fell in love with softball during her childhood years and continued playing the game until motherhood called. From traveling to Death Valley and Alex Box Stadium at LSU, to going to all corners of Mississippi and parts of Alabama and Florida to watch her children compete in the sports they were playing, she cherished all the memories that were made regardless of the outcome.
Putting her children first, Alissa made sure that she was always there for them and made it a point, to not only meet their needs, but she also provided many of their wants as well. Most importantly, Alissa taught her children what it means to be loved unconditionally.
In July of 2025, Alissa was blessed with the birth of her granddaughter who she fell in love with from the first moment she saw her. If you knew her, you would know how much "Gammy" loved Ady May. Becoming a grandmother was a blessing that Alissa cherished deeply and it shined the brightest with each visit, FaceTime call and picture of Ady.
Throughout Alissa's life, she was one of God's blessings to everyone that knew her.
