Alice "Maudell" Powell Rivers, age 90, of Ellisville, Mississippi, passed away August 26, 2024, at her residence. She was born on Sunday, June 17, 1934. She was a member of New Bethany Baptist church and was a lifelong resident of Ellisville.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 from 9:30AM until 10:30AM at Ellisville Funeral Home in 1204 B Ave, Ellisville, Mississippi. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at 11:00AM at Oak Bowery Cemetery in Ellisville. Burial will follow in Oak Bowery Cemetery in Ellisville, Mississippi. Bro. She married the love of her life, Roy "Bob" Rivers, December 24, 1953. Together they had four boys and embarked on many adventures. She was a beloved wife, mother and Mamaw. She loved cooking big meals for the whole family during the holidays in her younger days. She loved flowers of all kinds and working in her yard. Any time she would go grocery shopping she would always come back with more flowers to plant. She did ceramics, arts and craft shows and opened Rivers Kuntry Katfish September 15, 1994 alongside her husband, Bob. She loved trips to the Great Smoky Mountains and would go any chance they could get away.

Maudell is preceded in death by her husband, Roy "Bob" Rivers, married 66 years; parents; Van Don Powell and Martha E. Turner Powell, brothers; Grover Powell (Aline), Berlon Powell, Deavours Powell, James B. Powell.

Survivors include her sons Jerry (Beth), Bobby Joe (Teresa), Billy, Ken (Angelia) Grandchildren; Albert Rivers (Stefanie), Dean Joyner, Alicia AlSharhan (Munam), Emily Jordan, Justin (Baileigh), Jason (Ivie), Tommy (Leslie), Preston (Angela), Kimberly Rivers, Destin (Landri), Kennedy (Jacob), Zoey, a host of Great, Great-Great Grandchildren and Great- Great- Great Grandchildren, and nieces and nephews, sister-in-law, Carrie Mae Powell and her dog, Skipper.

Pallbearers will be Justin Rivers, Destin Rivers, Preston Mitchell, Tommy Mitchell, Jason Rivers and Jacob Lee. Honorary pallbearers will be Tom Rivers, Albert Rivers, Dean Joyner and Phillip Sipe
