Albert Lane "Skip" West, 67, of Laurel, MS passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at St. Dominics Hospital in Jackson, MS. He was born Tuesday, November 29, 1955 in Laurel, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 4, 2023 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Ellisville Funeral Home in Ellisville, MS. The funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM. Bro. Jimmy Holder will officiate. Ellisville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. 601-477-3797

He was preceded in death by his father, Wayne West; mother, Charlene Blackwell Herrington; brothers, Jerry West, Johnny West, Peanut West; sister, Jodi West; son-in-law, Leo Waites.

Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Amanda Parker West;  son, Marvin "Buddy" West;  daughters, Nancy Waites and Amanda Weekley (Tony);  step-sons, Kevin Cotten (Becky), Keith Cotten and Brian Cotten;  brother, Butch Murray;  sisters, Ricki Nixon, Shirley Rayner, Becky Harwell and Regina Sims;  grandsons, Joseph Walker, Joshua West, Brentlee Waites, Maverick Waites, Noah Cotten, Hunter Cotten, Styles Cotten, Jensen Weekley and Kendall Cotten;  granddaughters, Anna West, Ashlynn Walker, Madison Walker and Emily West;  as well as 3 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
