Harlon Russell Phillips, 42, of Bedrock Road, Ellisville, died Friday, Oct. 1, 2010, at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 3, at Salem Heights Baptist Church. Rev. Brent Benson and Rev. D.J. Benson will officiate. Burial will be in the Salem Heights Cemetery.
He was a deacon at Salem Heights Baptist Church, former employee of Ellisville State School maintenance department, and a 1986 graduate of West Jones High School.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Waltaude Weidinger Moss.
Survivors include his loving and faithful wife, Angie Oswalt Phillips of Ellisville; loving and faithful son, Harlon Ryan Phillips of Ellisville; father, Harlon Rickey Phillips (Joan) of Ellisville; mother, Nancy Jefcoat (David) of Big Creek; mother and father-in-law, Johnnie and David Oswalt of Laurel; sister, Lona Mari Miller of Big Creek; stepbrother, Lee Jefcoat of Big Creek; two stepsisters, Teresa Tarver of Vicksburg and Julie Jefcoat Adams of Sharon; maternal grandfatehr, George Wesley Moss; paternal grandparents, Marie and Hartley Phillips; and aunt and uncle, June and Jake Clark of Ovett.
Pallbearers will be deacons of Salem Heights Baptist Church with Harvey Phillips and George Moss serving as honorary pallbearers.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at Salem Heights Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Angie and Ryan (wife and son) will be greatly appreciated.
